Sports Mouth Guards

Custom made mouth guards are an essential part of an athlete’s kit, recommended by the British Dental health foundation to ensure the prevention of long term oral damage caused by direct or indirect Blows during sports activity.

A few facts to consider when deciding between Custom and boil and bite mouth guards our custom made mouth guards will be made by a qualified dental technician, this means that-

  • Custom made mouth guards are created by taking an accurate impression of your mouth

  • Accuracy of the fit will prevent gum shield movement during activity

  • Breathing is not hindered

  • Speech is less impaired than with boil and bite mouth guards

  • Custom made mouth guards can be up to 2.5 mm thicker, acting as a shock absorber following impact
